Mr. Akila Ganegoda, B.Sc. (GNMGT.TU) Hon USA

Akila Ganegoda’s culinary passion was first nurtured in his native Sri Lanka, where he learnt about the importance of fresh quality ingredients and where he developed the creative flair that has become a hallmark of his healthy fast foods. Coming from a family with long and vast business background, his primary and secondary education was at Royal College, Colombo. Thereafter he completed his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Management at the Institute of Technological Studies, Troy Campus, Colombo. He furthered his studies at the Troy University, Alabama, USA where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc.) with a Magna Cum Laude Honors specializing in General Management.

Akila joined Star Dogs as a restaurant executive and promoted through the ranks as our Senior Manager in charge of our restaurants and CEO of our production facility. He joined with the initial aim of introducing healthy convenient fast food products to the Sri Lankan market. His ideas were ahead of his time. The movement towards healthy convenient foods is on a rapid increase and due to this fact that there is a market within the fast food industry the world over for healthy but also convenient and exciting sources of meals. This is why Akila along with his team initiated a health based fast food product range that is instantly custom-made to the preference of a customer. He views Colombo as the perfect location to further develop his passion for serving the finest and freshest food.

His recipes are created according to original recipes developed by himself and his team. They have been successful locally. Every Star Dog, Frankie Wrap, Slimwich or a Keto Meal is always fresh and bursting with flavor, because Akila and his team are committed to the outstanding quality of products and the ultimate satisfaction of customers.
